We spent Friday evening celebrating Chris' birthday since everyone was in town (he turned 14 on the 28th). It's hard to believe that he will be a freshman in high school next year!
Here's a picture of him posing with his yummy mint ice cream cake:
Everyone had such a great time. The older kids ended up playing football in the yard until late. We left around 9:30 and they were still busy with their game. Don't you miss having that freedom during the summer?
Saturday we headed to Sugarland to spend the weekend with Eric's family. Peter, Elizabeth, and Nathan had flown in from Washington D.C., so everyone met at Jennie and Eric's to see the new babies. In all, there were 11 adults and 6 children. Definitely a full house, but it was so much fun to visit and catch up.

The weekend's main attraction
We left Sunday afternoon to head back home. Eric's Mom came a bit later to spent the night so that she could watch Melissa for us on Monday since the daycare was closed. Thank you Nana!
Peter, Elizabeth, and Nathan arrived at our house on Monday to visit and spend the night before heading up to Dallas for a few more days before returning home. We had homemade pizza and Blue Bell ice cream. Yum! They left this morning, and our weekend has now officially come to a close.
Just in time for 4th of July weekend coming up!
