Emily - you turned 1 today!
What are you up to?
- You love to eat, especially broccoli, chicken, bananas, and pork chops. You won't eat baby food at all, unless it is the pouches, and you insist on feeding those to yourself.
- You still wake up 2-3 times a night, but only because you want Mommy to hold you and put you back to sleep. We keep it quiet while you fall asleep.
- You are now wearing your 12 month clothes, are wearing a size 3 diaper, and weigh right around 20 lbs.
- Your eyes are still blue, but your hair is much lighter than when you were born. It's really long!
- You point at things with your finger and make sounds until we give you what you want.
- You can say Dadda, Puppy (Puh), Sister, Mamma, Elmo, and Banana.
- You know a monkey says "Ah, Ah" and you know the hand motions to Pat-A-Cake and Wheels on the Bus.
- You love when we read books to you! We have a box of books and we'll sit down and go through the whole box!
- You understand so much of what we say to you!
- You are officially a walker - choosing that over crawling somewhere
- You love Melissa and try to climb on her and play with her all the time.
We can't believe that a whole year has passed since you were born!
