We met my sister, Amanda, up at the Zone Club at Kyle Field for the event.
Each table had a football player sitting with them to talk to and answer questions. Here is a great shot of Diane and Amanda with our player, Gary Randall. He is a walk-on who went to Rockdale H.S. He was a very nice guy who answered our questions about practice, what it's really like to be a football player, and whether he actually has to attend class.
After the program upstairs, we ventured out and headed to the Bright Complex for Offensive and Defensive class and to practice drills. Here is Diane out on the field before we went inside. Kyle Field is so pretty!
Our first class was all about defense and was taught by Defensive Coordinator Joe Kines. We really enjoyed his class. Unfortunately, I got in trouble during class.
Our next class was put on by Offensive Coordinator, Nolan Cromwell. He did a great job explaining things too. Unfortunately, we were running behind and had to hurry along before the next class came in so we didn't get to take a picture.
Our final class of the night was drills. Yikes! It was hot in there, and it was hard work! We did all sort of drills. We hit things, ran forward and backwards, hiked the football and threw it, we jumped over things, and quacked like ducks. We even learned proper positions. (Mandy and I remembered what you had shown us Chris and Andrew!) Here is Diane running through one of the drills.

After the drills, we all met back in the locker room for a speech by Coach Sherman. Then he led us from the locker room, under the bleachers, and onto Kyle Field, just like the team enters the game. (They even had the Band's drum cadence playing over the loudspeakers.) We stopped to take one more picture around the goal post (and on the grass!) before heading into the stands where we watched a short video and sang the Spirit of Aggieland to end the night.
The event raised about $8,500 for the Brazos Valley Breast Cancer Support, Inc. A wonderful night for a wonderful cause.
