Happy Birthday Melissa! Today you turned 4!
What are you up to?
- You are wearing size 2T, 3T, and a few 4T clothes.
- Your hair is light brown, and L-O-N-G! You like having it fixed the same way every day, but sometimes I can sneak in a braid or ponytail. Even though we pretend to get our hair cut, you won't actually let me take you to get it "trimmed".
- You really enjoy doing things by yourself - getting dressed, taking your bath, getting your drink or snacks.
- You still are picky about what you will wear - cotton tops and skirts/shorts. Nothing with buttons, zippers, bows, ruffles, etc.
- You love to play with your baby dolls, cook for us in your kitchen, plan a picnic, and love puzzles.
- You play a mean game of Candyland.
- You love to roughhouse with Daddy - one of your favorite activities is to get the big purple ball, your panda puppet, and toss the ball around on our bed.
- You have recently realized that if Mommy tells you no, you can go ask Daddy.
- You can be a little stubborn - once you make up your mind on something, that's it.
- You are such a great big sister. Sometimes you have trouble remembering that you can't do some things that Mommy and Daddy do (like pick up Emily), but you always keep an eye out for sister.
- You are a big help to Mommy and Daddy - you love to help Mommy prep food in the kitchen, fold a washcloth or two, and you love to get out your tools to help Daddy "fix" things.
- You love to dance and sing!
- You currently share a room with Emily - she is in the crib and you are in the full size bed. It's working out very well. We have set up the other room as the Play Room and it's working out well.
- You love to read books. There are several books that you know by heart and will "read" them to us. Mommy and Daddy love to hear you as you read out loud.
- You love your family and cousins and aunts and uncles. We talk about them all the time and you get very excited when we talk about going to see them.
