14 Months

Melissa - you turned 14 months today!

What are you up to?

• You are such a happy baby! You love to babble and laugh and talk all the time!
• You are wearing size 12 month clothes, but there are some 18 month in your closet that fit you too.
• Your eyes are a combination of brown and blue, and your hair is still brown.
• Your hair is getting long! Not long enough to get a haircut yet, but long enough to pull back into a small ponytail on top of your head.

• You still enjoy eating all sorts of things. You love to snack and eat cereal with Daddy in the mornings.
• You will take your nap and go to sleep at night without too much fuss. As long as you have your music and a blanket, you do great!
• You love to dance and clap your hands.
• You are saying so many things right now: Mama, Dada, puppy, cracker, go!, moooo, bowl, shoes, sock, diaper, up, duck, Papa, banana, night-night.
  
• You like to share your food with Athena, whether intentional or not. You never complain, just come to us to get more.
• You've just started nodding your head, as if you are saying yes. However, we think you are trying to dance and rock out the way Daddy does in the garage.
• You love to be outside, whether it's playing with your water table or going for a walk with Athena.
  
• You enjoy going places with Mommy and Daddy. You love seeing people and new things.
  
• We are so amazed with what you understand when we talk to you. If we say it's time to take a bath, you go to the bathroom. If we are ready to eat and ask you to get your bib, you will walk over to the drawer and open it to pull one out, then walk over to your high chair and say "Up!"
• So far, you listen well if we ask you to stop what you are doing, or to come back to us. (Although sometimes you pout when doing so.)
  
• You love to read. If we are playing with toys, you will often go get a book, plop down in our laps, and open it so we can read to you.

You are growing so fast Melissa. You are an amazing girl and Mommy and Daddy can't get enough of you. We love you!
