18 Months

Melissa - you turned 18 months today! What are you up to?

• You are so much fun! Every day your laughter and smiles make Mommy and Daddy laugh and smile!
• You are wearing 12 month clothes and 18 month clothes.
• Your eyes are so pretty with brown on the inside and blue on the edges. Your hair is still brown and slightly curly.
• You started your new school on Monday. While we miss Connie and your friends at her house, you get to see your cousin Alexis every day! Your new teachers say you are very sweet.
  
• You love to dance and sing. If we ask you to sing, you will say "Old Man" (Old MacDonald) and "E-I-E-I-O".
• Your vocabulary is growing every day. We can't believe how many new words you learn. You are getting so good at communicating with us.
• You used the potty for the first time this past Saturday! Mommy and Daddy were so excited.
• We always brush our teeth during bathtime.
• At the dinner table, you like to make sure that each of us has our cup and napkin.
• You take one nap a day, and with your new school, this has moved to the afternoon instead of the morning.
• You love to be outside, pulling on the clover leaves and putting them in your bucket. You also love to get in your stroller and take a walk with Athena.
• You still enjoy your books, love to sweep, and help Mommy slide the laundry basket across the floor.
• Your favorite animals right now seem to be Elephants and Caterpillars.
• You love to give kisses and hugs to everyone.

Mommy and Daddy love you so much Melissa! We can't believe that it's been 18 months since you arrived in our lives. You bless us every day, just by being you!
