It's the most wonderful time of the year........

Yes - I was singing that song in my head as I typed those words.  And no - I'm not thinking of Christmas.  It's still too hot for that, although the weather this week has been gorgeous!

It's time for some College Football!

The speculation on when A&M will leave the Big 12 and join the SEC, what does that mean for the remaining teams in the Big 12, etc., only intensified our excitement for the season to begin.  And with A&M starting off ranked #8 in the preseason polls, we were definitely looking forward to watching them in action! 

This pregnant momma enjoyed the first part of the day in friend's RV.  First off, this thing was HUGE.  Second, it was so nice and air conditioned, I almost didn't want to leave for the other tailgate we were going to visit.

We've made it a tradition to celebrate my parent's birthdays this weekend, as Shawn has been coming down for the game and all of us are together. It worked out best for us to meet on campus, but Jennifer wasn't able to make it up there this year.  We enjoyed cookie cake and some time visiting before we all split to go home (the parental figures) or to tailgate some more before the game.

This was the other other tailgate we visited, but I was busy eating and visiting, so I didn't take any pictures other than my daughter stuffing her face with a cookie.  She certainly had a great time!

The game was on a Sunday night, which was a little weird, but thankfully we were off on Monday to allow an extra day to recuperate (except that Eric had class that afternoon - hehe!)  We left the tailgate before halftime to head home since Melissa and I were both beat.  A&M beat SMU 46-14.  WHOOP!
