2 Years Old

Happy Birthday Melissa! Today you turned 2!

What are you up to?

• You are wearing size 18 month clothes and a size 3 diaper.
• Your hair is getting so long and you love to have it pulled back. This past weekend Mommy even attempted a ponytail for you!
• We got some training underwear for you and you found them tonight and insisted on putting them on over your diaper.

• You talk all the time now. Even your teachers at school are impressed with the words you know.
• You know your colors (you've know these for some time now) and we are working on numbers. You can count to five and most of the time can count items correctly.
• You amaze us with the things you pick up on. Today when we were almost back home to the house after I had picked you up you were saying "No! No!" I asked you why you were saying "No" and you said "No home!"
• You are becoming very independent minded. You are testing both Mommy and Daddy at home, and your teachers at school, seeing what your limits are.
  
• After returning home after running errands this weekend you asked for an ice cream cone and I told you that we didn't have any. You replied "In car", which is where the cones I had purchased were (but no ice cream!)

• You still love to dance and love to be outside.
• You LOVE your puppy, Athena.
• You love to help Mommy cook and will push the chair up to the counter to help.
• You love to eat your breakfast with Daddy in the morning (and sometimes eat Daddy's breakfast as well!)
  

You are such a beautiful, happy girl and we are so blessed to have you as our daughter. Mommy and Daddy can't believe that it's been two years since you arrived in our lives. We are so thankful every day for the joy and life you bring us. We love you!
